In education, art avoids language barriers as a nonverbal tool, and as such, may be utilized to teach students to express their feelings and emotions through sculpture, painting, drawing and coloring. Art therapy has been successfully proven to be therapeutic for people with psychological and cognitive problems. I believe that college level of education in art is crucial and fundamental to any society. My work with students utilizing cardboard boxes, wire, clay, plaster, and mixed media has proven successful in eliminating shyness and fostering cooperation and greater toleration among students.
